Webinar: Yigdzin, an open Tibetan OCR model from BDRC – Public Launch

Join us for the public launch of Yigdzin, BDRC's new open Tibetan OCR model.

Yigdzin is a huge step forward for Tibetan OCR, helping researchers and translators spend less time retyping pages and more time working with the texts.

Working with scanned Tibetan texts often means hours of retyping. Yigdzin turns page images into text you can search, quote and compare, with corrections where needed. It reads both dbu can and dbu med in blockprints, manuscripts and modern books, and is free to use at https://ocr.bdrc.io.

At this online webinar, BDRC's CTO Élie Roux will demonstrate Yigdzin on real pages, discuss its capabilities and limitations openly, and answer your questions.
