BDRC Announces Leadership Transition: Jann Ronis to Step Down as Executive Director

After seven years of service, Jann Ronis will be stepping down as Executive Director of the Buddhist Digital Resource Center (BDRC).

During his tenure, Jann provided steady leadership through a period of significant transition, growth and challenge.  He advanced BDRC's mission to preserve and provide access to Buddhist literature through digital technologies, strengthening BDRC's position as a vital global resource for scholars, practitioners, and institutions worldwide. His dedication to innovation and collaboration has helped ensure that BDRC's collections will continue to serve and inspire generations to come.

Under Jann's leadership, BDRC expanded both the scope and accessibility of its collections and successfully stewarded several important initiatives and philanthropic gifts that have strengthened the organization's long-term sustainability.

Jann's final day at BDRC will be February 28. The Board will be launching an international search for the organization's next Executive Director.

The Board of Directors is deeply grateful for Jann's contributions and the legacy he leaves behind.  As he embarks on the next chapter of his professional journey, the Board wishes him continued success and thanks him for his commitment to advancing BDRC's mission.
